The Shimano XT BR-M8100 2-piston hydraulic brake caliper for front or rear wheel with post-mount receptacle and G03A resin disc pads. It offers lightweight brake operation and reliable braking power in all conditions. The new DEORE XT comes with a two-piston brake for cross-country use or a four-piston brake for trail/enduro use.

The new brake lever design, mounted at an angle to provide two points of support on the handlebar, significantly increases rigidity and provides more direct feedback and braking performance, enhanced by SERVO WAVE technology. Thus, the braking systems are characterized by faster response, increased performance, and reduced free stroke.
